Director of Operations (Manufacturing)

Position

As Director of Operations (Manufacturing), you will own everything from procurement to manufacturing of Dedrone’s state of the art sensors.  Your objective will be to build out efficient and effective production processes to support a rapidly scaling business.  You will leverage your past experiences building out a supplier network and ramping up contract manufacturing partners.  We are looking for independent self starters to develop and execute scalable processes.  You will need to work closely with Hardware Engineering, Global Logistics, Finance and Sales to truly succeed in this role.  As the role will initially only have a couple of direct reports, you will need to roll up your sleeves in the early stages before you build out your team.

  • Develop and manage 3rd party production and service partners
  • Develop and manage a strong and reliable supplier network to scale with the organization
  • Work closely with finance to lead an ERP implementation
  • Manage labor and production processes and operations
  • Provide operational support for the development of new, innovative products
  • Lead international product launches (software/hardware) in international markets
  • Develop and maintain internal and work processes
  • Constantly look to drive efficiencies within the manufacturing process
  • Work with hardware engineering to ensure our products have the proper certifications across the globe
  • Provide support for helpdesk and international customers, users, and colleagues

qualifications

Qualifikationen

  • Completed college-level degree in industrial engineering or comparable qualification
  • +7 years of professional experience, with management/leadership role
  • Experience driving an ERP implementation
  • Experience in third party production involving electronic components
  • Experience with developing and maintaining returning structures for B2B organizations
  • Business sophistication and financial aptitude to lead department operations
  • Ability to implement strategic initiatives that constantly improve operations
  • Conceptual and analytical thinking skills, as well as understanding of technology systems
  • Proven creative problem solver and critical thinker
  • Independent, user-centered decision-maker
  • Reliable in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively communicate to all levels within an organization
  • Openness for learning new technologies and the digitalization of a new technological environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office / Salesforce
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and German
  • Hands-on mentality a must!
