Business Development Manager

Dedrone is looking for a Business Development Manager who has the drive and skill to lead partners from various parts in the eco-system into the next multibillion-dollar security market. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small team, work directly with executive leadership, influence company strategy and product roadmap, and work with some of the world’s largest and most respected companies and security integrators. This position is located in San Francisco.

As a Business Development Manager you will work with a wide range of partners to enhance Dedrone’s product offering and develop new markets. The team partners with infrastructure players, carriers and service providers and IoT companies.

Even though this is a Business Development position you will support Dedrone’s engineering and sales teams with essential partnerships to help power Dedrone’s offering and proposition.



  • Lead exploratory discussions with potential partners
  • Evaluate opportunities and present recommendations to the management team
  • Negotiate strategic agreements
  • Communicate and collaborate with a broad range of constituents (product, engineering, marketing, sales, legal and top external executives) and help define the go-to-market strategy
  • Develop and execute the business development strategy
  • Be a collaborative, team player by sharing your insights and challenges with the team so that we can all move faster, sell more, and make more money!




  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in relevant industries

  • Entrepreneurial, open-minded, persistent, collaborative
  • In-depth experience operating within and across cross-functional teams (product management, implementation, legal, finance, marketing, etc.)
  • Experience in partner management, product management or product marketing in a technology startup environment and experience identifying partners, analyzing and structuring complex agreement structures with a consistent record of execution
  • Candidates with experience in VC, investment banking or consulting are also strongly encouraged to apply
  • Ability to balance multiple high priorities and lead several time-sensitive projects at once in a rapidly changing environment with minimal direction
  • Strong attention to detail, with a real passion for and understanding of Dedrone products and the ability to quickly learn about new technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial and value points with partners and internal teams.
